How about a gametype where teams choose the location of their base?
Ideally it would be done in the pre-game lobby using the minimap, but I also thought of how to implement it without so many new systems being necessary:
It would make use of the deployables system already in the game, but with heavier restrictions on build radius. It could also take advantage of the new spectator camera by having it forced on all players until both bases are placed.
I havent really decided on an easy way to prevent teams from spying on eachother during the base deployment phase, but even if they can figure out the enemy’s base location this way it will still add a lot of variety to stale maps in Siege.
i honestly would want this added to siege along with any other game modes, as the game stands there is little to no reason not to take the path of least resistance to an enemy base. and when you know where it is, battles become predictable
