Super basic, just installs and launchs, but I am having to write a bunch of custom tools to adapt to the Steam release process.
Actually took me way longer than I want to admit to not have the game instantly crash on startup after adding the steam stuff.March 13, 2014 at 10:54 PM #109115SergeDavidModeratorColonelTotal posts : 3065

I know Steam is a really good platform for games, and it makes it harder to get cracks of games, but something with Steam just rubs me the wrong way.March 19, 2014 at 7:12 PM #109330SergeDavidModeratorColonelTotal posts : 3065

Good news, you don’t have to use steam and not using steam won’t diminish the playing experience. I just know it is fancy and will open the door to a LOT more people, also it makes life easier when you can see which friends are playing MAV.March 19, 2014 at 7:32 PM #109333
Or, you know. Log into the Teamspeak server and see your friends there. ;pMarch 24, 2014 at 11:11 AM #109499BlowbackMemberPrivate First ClassTotal posts : 24

I have noticed that a lot of groups like to have there own TS server of there own when they play games now adays so the Steam setup will bring everyone to one central location to chat have fun with , I like that setup of steam.April 7, 2014 at 4:13 PM #109957
True – it IS a great thing, but for the non-steam users, is there some way that we could access a Friends List in-game somehow?April 7, 2014 at 4:19 PM #109959shadow0716ParticipantStaff SergeantTotal posts : 133

Friends lists will be universal, all the steam integration will do is pre-populate your list with your steam friends that have MAV (least that is the plan).
I will try my hardest to ensure both steam and non-steam versions have 100% feature parity.
