i see a few people are posting builds so, im gonna try this out for the purpose of feedback.

first up comes the emperor scorpion, a heavily armored, high durability sniper tank with an amazing speed to-durability ratio. its stability paired with the stable arrow allows it to use the three railguns quite well.

it has few but very big weaknesses. the super high output generator is extremely vulnerable to any weapon, especially flame-types. the stable arrow cockpit is also very low durability. however, its top speed, armor and aim speed allow it to annihilate any foes at medium to extreme ranges. it also has a big thermal unit on the end of the generator to make the best use of its precision weapons.

next up is a build that i am only able to use due to it being a save that existed in the last update. the hexapedal chassis it is using is not available to me, so i do not know its total stats. however, this build will still run if i use it without any modifications.

a massive, heavily armored hexapedal chassis carrying a blacknose medium cockpit, four railguns, a pair of super high output generators, a wall deploy, thermal module and a large fire suppression system, along with a small generator.

its four railguns, when used right, can be fired in succession with little to no reload wait time, allowing it to provide a most fearful suppressive fire from any range. its legs are heavily armored and very durable, but the blacknose cockpit is the opposite, much like its railguns and the two massive generators required to power the machine. a thermal module in the rear allows it to better use its precision weapons. the small generator, fss and wall deploy are lightweight and sometimes save its life.

coming to you with a paint job and name referencing a favorite anime, i unveil the gleam eyes mk II, a medium hexapedal chassis carrying twelve light howitzers, six in a group, attached to a ceph cockpit atop a big generator.

its mostly just for screwing around, as it isnt extensively effective in any role other than base bombardment due to its extreme lack of range over other howitzers, but its fire rate is fast enough that it can compete with the missile spam mavs in the same roles. although the howitzers are low damage, again, its fire rate compensates for this in that if you miss, its only about 3 seconds before your able to fire the same group again. this allows for great suppressive fire against anything that is isnt beyond the long range barrier. this is just me though. i have used it effectively at long range, but the projectile flight time makes this much harder to do right.

at close range, it can lay out enough hurt to tear off all the light modules on a mav in a single group firing. it takes a bit for it to take down any of the heavier defender mavs, but by the time you are within range, the howitzers will have torn off any chance of killing you they have. unless you decide on a suicide pact, at point blank, two group fires will kill itself.

extreme lack of range over other howitzers

Uhh, those X howitzers are literally the longest ranged howitzers in the game. What on Europa are you smoking?

this is also not a seriously competitive build, as i made it mostly cause it just looks fucking awesome, but it is fairly effective at long to medium ranges. a massive quadruple ivan hexaped.

a medium hexapedal chassis carrying four ivans, attached to a blacknose cockpit with a single super high output generator. four spacers allow the top two ivans to be attached. i have not used this one extensively to say what it is and isnt effective at, but from experience with other heavy howitzers, medium to long range is my best guess.

this next one’s theme is based on Regina, a character from a turn based anime game i like. her specialty is ranged attacks over anything else.

this mav is one of my favorites, and uses a concept i have not seen many people use. (although i think ive only ever seen railuns being used once or twice by anyone but myself…), using two railguns in a single group. it uses this concept quite well with three pairs of railguns. it has extreme firepower at long ranges, but it is only effective here. the guns are held on by a super light spacer and assault rifle for each pair. the 12344 hex legs it is using have very low armor and health, as well as the stable arrow cockpit. it uses one fcrh2000 generator mounted on the back.

the low durability and minimum effective range hamper it quite a bit, but the fact that it can fire two railguns in a single group, thats 650 damage per group, with three groups, in terms of range, damage, projectile speed and accuracy ratio, it is the end game.

this mav is by far the one i have had the most headaches and fuss over due to the fact that there is no lgt shaped spacer. the assault rifles used are the longest ranged ones in the game, but the fact that all attached weapons must be assigned to a group for a mav to be valid, and only three groups in the stable arrow cockpit, the assault rifles have to be assigned to a railgun’s group, which wastes accuracy rating and weight.

i tried to think of what the howitzers would be used for in a mining operation, and i thought of a heavy demolition vehicle.

a 12344 hex carrying a stable arrow and fcrh2000 generator with a heavy radiator and super light radiator mounted to the generator.

three xxl howitzers allow it to engage enemies at any range, while a single railgun gives it the ability to snipe those that have proven too hard to hit at long range. an x750 thermal allows it to see enemies through dust storms.

my reason for making it was really just to have something that would allow me to snipe enemies and obliterate any that got too close.

with a theme based on my favorite garden spider, the black and yellow argiope, http://www.spiders.us/files/argiope-aurantia-4.jpg comes another railgun specialist with a concept im surprised works. using an fcrh2000 generator with a cal spacer and a pair of lgt x shotguns, four railguns are mounted behind a mako to decrease recoil effect and profile. six more lgt shotguns are mounted under the spine shotguns.

this one is something im sure would bring out both love and hate in axle, with eight screamer rockets mounted in a shameless fashion. four in a group, all tightly packed, allows them to be fired very fast and accurately. i used this one a few times to great effect at any range. an fcrh2000 generator used as the main spine with a cal spacer attached in the same fashion as the argiope, but with the larger alpine shield and and a light armor panel protecting the generator. i believe i will be using this basic mako+cal design quite often from now on.

this next one i honestly feel the same about compared to how delvin feels about spine builds. this is something i hope never gets changed to be useless.

this should NOT be effective, but it is extremely effective for how heavily armored it is.

exploiting the fire delay, the recoil does not take effect until after the first two shots are fired. i realised this with the other railgun builds but thought it was all in the recoil absorption. however, considering the fire delay is low enough for a pair of railguns to be fired off before recoil takes effect, the idea is useable on nearly any chassis. i will try this with a hover sometime, but for now, i give unto thee a mav whos paint job is themed on the airport-specializing fire trucks known as crash trucks.
