The foundation of a community is its forums, and it needs to be better. If MAV wants an active userbase, buying some decent forum software is a necessity for community growth and interaction.
An example of such software is Xenoforo, used by many different communities and provides a perfect foundation in which can be built upon. This software would allow much greater control and use of the forum, much more than it can currently support now.
As it currently stands, it hurts to even look at the forums, let alone use them.
Should more money be required to buy said software, I am sure we can all put our minds together to get it. I would be happy to invest some of my money towards such a goal.

January 31, 2018 at 7:17 PM #144165I did a quick google search. Not sure if these work / are what I’m looking for but here’s the first link to addon’s for each browser that lets you set custom css.
Firefox
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stylish/Here is a quick css style change to give the forums a quick night version.
body {filter: invert(100%);} img, iframe {filter: invert(100%);}
Heres the simple setting you use to make sure it hits only the forums.

January 31, 2018 at 7:23 PM #144167Thanks for that Serge, but that is just a small nitpick of mine that is just one element of the overall issue with the current forums.
If you are making your users use custom CSS scripts to make your forum bearable to use, there is something wrong.
