State of the Game #111: Codes are out Steam begins

Welcome to another State of the Game!

This week, I have been super busy getting Kickstarter backer codes sent out to everyone. Great news, all backer codes have been sent out! If you have not received your code, please message me on Kickstarter and I will get it to you right away. I used a mail service to send them out and it had about a 90% delivery rate, so I am sure there are still a few people missing their codes.

You might also have noticed that the paypal option is available again on the website. This means that anyone that missed the Kickstarter is able to get the game now!

So now that the bulk of the Kickstarter rewards are out (I am still working on the non-game rewards) I have started to do some actual development!

In case you forgot, M.A.V. was Greenlit (Yay!) and I have been working on integrating Steam into the game so I can get it live as soon as possible. Remember, if you already have the game, you will also get a steam key as well!

I am focusing on steam at this point for a few reasons. For starters, a larger user base will make the game better for everyone, as there will be more servers, more people to play with, and more bug reports and ideas to improve the game. Also, getting steam features in now allows me to plan all new features around that, instead of possibly having to redo them later if I waited on the steam integration. Finally, integrating steam users in with the M.A.V. user system now allows me to ensure all the upcoming user features will be compatible and you will always be able to play from either steam or the ‘non-steam’ version.

In other news, Varian has officially begun work on the first song for the soundtrack!
