State of the Game : To be Determined

Well, I am suffering full on writers block this week.

I have now stared at this blank page for 30 mins, trying to determine what I should talk about, what I should save for when the update drops, and what long term plans I should talk about.

I suppose I could talk about the new line of manufacturer themed parts that will be dropping in the November update, but I don’t want to spoil TOO much with it. I mean, all 8 of those parts together will really allow some cool new build options. More exciting, they haven’t even been discovered in leaked pictures either, so they will truly be new! But, I wouldn’t want to give away too much.

I mean, I did already leak out the new saw weapon, with it’s massive size and ability to shield you from damage, coupled with it’s gripping and cutting, it’s quite the weapon! Telling you about the OTHER line of weapons launching in the November update would just be overkill. I mean, who really needs that much information this far in advance?

And that is just the content updates. I know I for sure can’t talk about the updates to the map system. That would just kill any hype for the update right away.

Moving on from the November update, the long term plans for MAV are moving along right on track. The new referral system as been allowing a lot of players to get extra rewards, so make sure you are making use of it to get your custom parts!

Past the November update and into 2018, there will be some big changes coming to the game through a few massive updates! I will be tackling a few things that have been my personal demons and really start pushing the limits, personally. The sprint of MAV, both in lore and in real life, is all about self reliance and standing up for what you believe in. In the development of MAV, that has expressed its self in many ways, from even just starting such an ambitious project, turning away publishers, taking a stand against predatory loot boxes and micro trans actions, and even leaving Steam when we no longer felt they represented the same values we did. As we move into 2018, there will be several more doors that we break through as the people that had said ‘you can’t do that!’ will have to sit and watch as we do 😉

I mean, it’s not like I have 1,736 emails of people telling me we would never make it this far. Not that I am counting 🙂

  1. SO MUCH HHYYPPEE!!!!!!!

Seriously, you bring me so much joy to see you take on a project of this size and keep coming out on top, even after some of the blows that have been dealt back to you.

Good job, my good man. Good job!

  2. Cyber, you may want to get a blood chemistry done, because receiving all of that salt for six years can be deadly.

  3. Sometimes there’s nothing more satisfying than to prove someone wrong.

Also, has our nagging on the map issue thread finally come to fruition? :3
I can’t wait for the update to arrive.

I have a special email folder called ‘Negative Nacy’ and I just file them in there. They range from the poetic ‘Ur dumb for doing this’ to ‘In my professional option you would have been better using unreal and hiring a team of 40 people and…… and that is why I don’t think you know what your are doing’.

Would it be bad to send a mass email in response to them all just saying *Mic drop*?

It’s a pun. It references both my writers block and the determination I have to do what others say I can’t. 🙂

    1. You think that when people tell you “you can’t do it” (MAV wise), you turn that feedback around and strive to achieve it?
